Our innovative cargo ships can incorporate National Defense Features that will make them among the premier military sealift vessels in the world.

In a dual use context, FastShip's commercial vessels could act as a reserve fleet of high-speed, conventional roll-on/roll-off ships available for the military use on 48 hours notice. Some features that the FastShip vessels will bring to any military sealift mission:

• A consistent speed of 36 - 40 knots (41 - 46 mph) in conditions up to sea state 7 (25 foot wave height).
• A range of up to 11,500 nautical miles at full speed.
• The capacity to hold 12,000 tons of equipment and/or personnel (the equivalent of two armored battalions).
• Flexible configuration of cargo decks for roll-on, roll-off equipment, containers and personnel, particularly given the "see-through" ability bow to stern and starboard to port.
• The ability to offload at austere ports or even directly over beaches with up to a 10 degree gradient.
• Easy integration with smaller battle groups or seabasing concepts

The biggest advantage of our technology is that it has already been developed and paid for by the private sector.
