World events are leading to structural changes in the way air freight and containerized ocean freight will be handled. These changes are projected to result in additional time lost in the supply chain as well as additional expense.

FastShip, by contrast, will be a state of the art, secure logistics network for customers and the government. Our closed-loop system and dedicated terminals allow for much tighter and more efficient security procedures than is in place at traditional terminals.

FastShip will readily meet the expected future security requirements established by U.S. and European governments because of the following features of our system:

  • Greenfield terminals where FastShip will be the sole user and able to control security and enforcement processes. We can build to suit the new requirements.
  • FastShip's closed loop network, similar to the integrators, will give FastShip much greater control over the door-to-door flow as the processes are fluid and planned, in contrast with the ocean carriers where freight is accumulated and then sits awaiting the next move.
  • Lack of legacy systems means that FastShip can easily design security requirements into its network and achieve 100% visibility of the freight in transit.
  • A high proportion of our customers will be repetitive users and large volumes will be intra-company—making it easier for us to meet "know the customer" security mandates.
